Post-Workout Cool Down & Stretch

Hey MFit Family! Before we get into today’s MFit video, I have a very exciting announcement… The #25DaysofMFit is back! Starting December 1st, I will be posting one video a day until the 25th. Each workout will be 15-minutes or less. The goal of this challenge is to keep you moving during the busy holiday season. I know that even on the busiest of days, you have 15-minutes to spare. So I’ve created 25 workout videos for you to follow that can fill the time.

Can’t wait until the 1st to start this challenge? Don’t worry, you don’t have to! Join the #25DaysofMFit challenge on my website to start today! I have all 25 videos filmed, edited, and ready for you. Join the challenge to start early or just to see what’s in store for you in December.

Now let’s talk about today’s cool down video!

Why is it important to stretch after a workout? You need to go through a complete cool down after exercise to slow down your heart rate, reduce your body temperature, and return your muscles to their optimal length.

This particular cool down will begin with some active stretches before getting into the more deep stretches. We do this to make the transition from intense exercise to a resting state smoother.

I recommend you do this cool down, or one like it, after all of your MFit workouts. You can follow this video after you complete the #25DaysofMFit workout videos.
