In 2017, I discovered the world of podcasts. I realized how educational and inspiring certain podcasts can be. Today I want to share with you 5 podcasts that will help you achieve your New Year’s resolutions!
I’d been looking for ways to make my daily commute more productive. With the help of the following podcasts, I now use my car time to grow as a person and improve my business. These 5 podcasts will help you reach just about any resolution.
1. How I Built This
In How I Built This, Guy Raz interviews entrepreneurs and talks with them about the stories behind how they built their businesses. Find out how the creators behind Starbucks, Southwest Airlines, Reddit and TRX created their now famous companies. One of my favorite interviews is with the guys behind Airbnb.
This podcast will inspire you to reach for your goals and supply you with business techniques to take your company to the next level.
2. The School Of Greatness
Lewis Howes hosts this incredibly motivating podcast. He only talks with people who are exceptionally great in their field. He’s interviewed everyone from a FBI hostage negotiator to pop culture icon Rob Dyrdek.
If I need a little motivation or want tips on how to run a business, check it out!
3. Mind Pump
If you are looking for a top of the line fitness podcast, this is it. Three ex-personal trainers host this funny and educational podcast that can teach you everything from how calories effect muscle gains to corrective exercise techniques.
As a fitness professional, I love this podcast. These guys look at all topics from all angles and have both experience and science to back up their information.
4. The MFCEO Project
I’ve been extra interested in podcasts for entrepreneurs recently, because I am one! If your New Years Resolutions are related to business, check out Andy Frisella’s MFCEO Project (it stands for exactly what it sounds like). His episodes cover topics like how social media affects business growth, dealing with workplace conflict, and when to call it quits on a project.
Andy keeps it very real and transparent in each episode. His speeches don’t feel rehearsed or fake, which I have found to be the case in many similar podcasts.
5. The Daily Boost
If your commute to work is relatively short, this podcast will give you a little jolt of motivation to help get you through the day. Episodes are typically right around 10-minutes and supply quick words of wisdom on all topics related to personal life, career and everything in between.
