Happy Fall! In honor of this great season, I decided to create some pumpkin recipes for you. To kick things off, here is a pumpkin smoothie recipe! Now, for the most part, I am strictly a fruit and veggie smoothie girl. I will add things like almond butter and seeds to my smoothies, but never anything like pumpkin. So – when I was making this smoothie, I was very worried that I would hate it. But guess what… I didn’t! It was delicious. And good for you! This smoothie has about 320 calories in it, it’s high in fiber and has a good amount of protein.
Let’s get into the recipe –
For this pumpkin smoothie you will need:
1/2 – 1 banana (if you want a bit more banana flavor, add the whole thing)
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp agave nectar
2 tsp spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger… I used a blended spice, so add what you like!)
ice or freeze your banana before you blend!
